Boris Yeltsin caricature

Another caricature I made to learn and practice.
Here I TRIED TO IMITATE THE STYLE of my great example back then, the Dutch caricaturist Wouter Lap. He was a superb caricaturist who drew almost all famous Dutch people of the time.
I knew him from Panorama magazine, for which he created a double-page celebrity head every week...

Caricaturists often draw large heads full of crosshatching (#) to represent tones,
but Wouter Lap achieved at least as much realism without any hatching!...
Just a flat surface of gouache, finished with (as little as possible) colored pencil ...

... very simple! That's what I tried to achieve here too.
My experiment went reasonably well, but in the end I still messed up by placing my signature with a thick black marker. Stupid of me!
I just now corrected that - for ArtStation - with paint.net.
